Welcome to one of the largest and most successful chess clubs in the West Midlands!

We meet every Monday night (except Bank Holidays) from about 7pm. League matches (if any) start at 7.30pm. Visitors, guests and chess fans are always welcome.

Our venue, the Minworth Club, has wheelchair access, a large free car park, and serves food and drink available for purchase from the licensed bar — so please do not bring your own refreshments to the club. We field several teams in local leagues so we are continually recruiting players of all standards. Out of season we run mini-tourneys, club championships, lectures, simultaneous displays, etc. Of course there are always friendly games and informal analysis occurring too.

Note that we do not meet on Bank Holidays, or on or between 24th December to 1st January.
